Product Description
The Stealth Recoil Spring™ SRS™ GEN4 is a self-contained, multi-stage drop-in replacement for a standard AR buffer and spring. Designed to eliminate spring noise and improve shooting comfort, the SRS prevents the buffer spring from rubbing against the inner wall of the buffer tube, resulting in smooth and quiet operation.
The GEN4 design features an improved internal structure that significantly reduces felt recoil while maintaining constant tension against the bolt carrier. To eliminate potential failure points, the GEN4 replaces the previous screw design with a roll pin through the polymer end piece and uses a machined cap on the rod with a washer instead of a snap ring. Note: The GEN4 version does not include an O-ring on the weight.

Compatibility
Compatible with AR-15 platforms using a carbine-length buffer tube.

Note: Most bolt carriers have a rear opening over 0.60". Some bolt carriers on the market have rear openings under 0.60" and may not function with the SRS system.
9mm Bolt Carriers: For proper operation of the SRS-9 in 9mm rifles or pistols, the extra weight at the rear of the bolt carrier must be removed. This weight is secured with a spring pin.

Installation & Maintenance
The polymer bumper installs toward the rear of the firearm, while the weight mass installs toward the bolt carrier.
The SRS can be installed with or without a buffer retainer. Many users prefer installation without the buffer retainer for easier maintenance.
The SRS™ is supplied with red LOCTITE on the front metal stop and blue LOCTITE on the bottom bumper. When reassembling, reapplication of LOCTITE is recommended.
